The MAXGEAR brand Control Valve, camshaft adjustment is an actuator for the engine camshaft position control system. It is designed to distribute and change the amount of engine oil entering the control system at the command of the engine control unit. Moving the valve plug opens and closes the oil channels and changes the pressure and direction of oil flows in the system.

The main principles of the control valve operation

When opened, the valve provides oil at a certain pressure through the central channel located on the camshaft. After removing the voltage from the control valve, the blade and impeller return to their original position, and the plunger blocks the entire system in the state of the least delay. The valve is responsible for ensuring the flow of oil to the phase control device.

After turning off the control potential on the electromagnetic device, the phase regulator moves the camshaft to the state with the smallest delay, thereby providing maximum torque at reduced speeds.
