The operational principle of camshaft gear

For more precise settings, manufacturers offer split camshaft gears that allow you to change the phase angle by tenths of a degree - it is necessary for more precise tuning during tuning. Camshaft gear failures are associated with aging metal, improper timing belt installation and high operating loads. It is recommended to order the camshaft gear together with the timing belt drive, since a breakage or wear of the pulley could cause significant damage to the belt. To ensure normal engine operation, after replacing a part, it is necessary to adjust the ignition and valve timing from "zero".
