The functions of the camshaft adjuster

The SWAG brand Camshaft Adjuster is a steel, cast iron or aluminum round piece with teeth on the outside. There is a mark on the body by which the valve timing is adjusted. For more precise settings, manufacturers offer split camshaft adjusters that allow you to change the phase angle by tenths of a degree - it is necessary for more precise tuning during tuning. Camshaft adjuster failures are associated with aging metal, improper timing belt installation and high operating loads.
