The intake manifold is quite an important element of the entire intake channel system of the engine (ICE). It is in this detail that fuel and air meet. Intake manifold designed to ensure uniform flow of the air-fuel mixture into the cylinders. It can be equipped with injectors, carburetor, throttle valve, pressure sensor.

The usage of the intake manifold module

No MEAT & DORIA brand Intake Manifold Module is complete without cavities, channels, and mounting flanges. The detailed structure of a particular product depends on its type and design features. The material from which the collector is made can also be different: steel, aluminum, and various composites, plastic.

There are many types of intake manifolds:

1. traditional "pants" - four pipes connected into one;
2. turbocharged manifolds;
3. collectors with variable geometry;
4. one- and two-plane collectors;
5. manifolds equipped with a point fuel injection system and others.

The likelihood of a malfunction is directly proportional to the structural complexity of the intake manifold. For example, dampers in a diesel engine can fail if the quality of the material is low in combination with an increase in temperature or the presence of oil condensation. There is a possibility of damage to the valve that controls the dampers.
