One of the options for grounding of electrical equipment is the use of flexible earth straps - these are copper non-insulated wires woven with a “pigtail” and crimped with flat tinned copper lugs that have holes for standard fastener sizes.
The design of an earth strap
The HELLA brand Earth Strap is used for equipment grounding of metal structures, cars and apparatus cases, for grounding of metal supports, as well as in places where flexible grounding is required. They are made of ground conductor, galvanized steel. Earth straps with a cable for connecting metal elements with bolts or for use as a temperature compensator for round conductors.
The multiwire braided structure of the wire allows it to withstand repeated physical impact without breaking at the kinks. Tin-bismuth electrolytic tinning provides long-term protection against corrosion and guarantees high quality connections under all weather and climatic conditions.
