The central valve of the camshaft adjustment is located in front of the engine, and in addition, it is installed in a recess - in the place where dirt accumulates first. When the oil seal dries out or is damaged, dust and sand mixed with engine oil enter the valve channels and the working cavity of the rotary assembly. This is fraught with wedging of the electromagnetic device and accelerated wear of the chambers and blades of the phase regulator itself.
