Correct operation of the engine and its components depends on various factors. One of the main ones is the ratio of fuel to gasoline in the combustible mixture, thanks to which the engine performs its functions.

The operation of the air flow sensor

According to the method of performing the task, several types of air flow sensors can be distinguished. An inertial air flow sensor based on the deviation of a special plate from its original position caused by the air flow. A sensor containing a hot-wire anemometer operates based on the ability of an air flow to heat or cool elements that come into contact with it. The movement contains a thin platinum wire that helps maintain the right temperature. When calculating the amount of incoming electricity required to heat the wire, the air flow is measured. The measuring element in some models is also made of silicon wafers coated with platinum on the surface.
