This is a field-wound component with permanent magnets. In the event of a violation of the conditions of use or for other reasons, delamination from the housing part often occurs in the magnetic stator, and the electrical winding itself is subject to a sudden circuit break.

If the stator winding of the starter stops rotating, a certain indicator on the instrument panel will not light up. Also, in the case of insufficient rotation speed, we can talk about a breakdown of the stator itself.

If we talk about normal operating conditions, under which this component works without interruption for a long time. At the same time, the starter winding is able to withstand maximum heat, because of which it does not burn out so often. However, when it comes to excessive loads or liquid penetration, the winding can be shorted. Accordingly, this will lead to the need for a complete diagnosis. In case of damage to the insulation, you will have to replace completely the part.
