The usage of the thermostat gasket

The gasket is a sealing element designed to seal the thermostat housing / cover. Due to its elasticity, the gasket prevents leaks and maintains operating pressure in the cooling system. Each car and body type has its own gasket with a specific shape. Often made from the following materials:
