The operation of the fuel pre-supply pump

Lifting the pump handle up creates a vacuum that opens the suction valve. As a result, the fuel rushes directly into the space under the piston. When the piston reverses down, the fuel pressure rises. Pressure penetrates the fine filter. If starting the engine is difficult, it is advisable for the driver to make sure that there is fuel in the tank of the car.
