An THERMOTEC brand Expansion Valve, air conditioning is a device with a hole or in the form of a container through which the refrigerant in the vehicle air conditioning system enters the evaporator without leaks and in the required amount. Also, the valve is designed to maintain the set temperature in the system. This device may have a different design, depending on the car model. In most cases, it is a tube that is located next to the diaphragm in the part of the assembly where the refrigerant enters the evaporator.

In the design of almost any vehicle, a special adjustable opening or a small-sized container is provided through which the refrigerant enters the evaporator. This part is called an air conditioner expansion valve.

The usage of the air conditioner expansion valve

The key purpose of this auto element is to maintain a certain temperature in the evaporator. This task is achieved by regulating the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator.

A vehicle air conditioner valve can vary greatly in design. This is influenced by the characteristics of the selected air conditioning system, since they differ from vehicle to vehicle.

If the temperature at the outlet of the part increases, the valve opens, starting up more refrigerant. When the temperature drops, the valve closes, reducing the amount of incoming fluid.
