The functionality of the propeller shaft joint

Its main task is to transmit torque from the gearbox to the drive axles. In addition, it takes over the damping of the gimbal resistance. This part is in motion all the time while driving and, although it is considered durable, it is often subject to wear and tear, since it is not protected from water, sand, road dust and stones.

If there is a problem with this part, you will hear an unpleasant knocking and grinding noise in the gimbal area while driving. Since the joint is only part of a large mechanism, the slightest problem will lead to a deterioration in the operation of the entire system, and ignoring the malfunction can lead to an accident.
