Good quality! Super fast delivery. Thank you a lot :)

Automotive fluids such as engine oil, coolant and fuel are, of course, essential to the operation of any vehicle, but they can cause irreparable damage if they end up where they should not be, such as in a timing belt drive system.

The hose is located directly above the engine, so if there is a leak, liquid drops will instantly be on the belt. On the other hand, take, for example, problems with seals in the engine - oil seeps through the seals and damages the tensioner along with the timing belt (which can even swell). It is known that most timing belt failures are due to engine oil leakage. The ORIGINAL IMPERIUM brand Cover, timing beltcan partially reduce the risk of such malfunctions.

The functionality of the timing belt cover

When oil and coolant enter the system, dirt and debris begin to collect on the sprockets, which leads to wear of the sprockets themselves, as well as the timing belt. Alignment errors are also possible. Gravel and other small particles are compressed between the teeth of the pulley, causing the belt to move away from the pulley. This outward movement leads to the destruction of the carrier cord and ultimately to the failure of the belt. In addition, misalignment can seriously degrade the performance of the timing belt drive system, causing high side-shift loads, uneven tooth wear and interdental wear, edge wear and excessive noise.
