Pressure Converter - V10-63-0010 VEMO

Every year, car manufacturers are improving the performance of car engines more and more. But in fact, the very principle of operation of any power unit remains the same. One of the enhancements to increase engine power is turbocharging, which is powered by a turbocharger. Turbocharging produces artificial air injection, due to which the cylinders receive a larger amount of fuel-air mixture. However, this significantly increases the temperature inside the cylinders, which in turn leads to detonation.

The functionality of the turbocharger pressure converter

The turbocharged engine monitors the boost pressure and transmits the received data to the engine control unit, which calculates the required boost for the current operating mode of the unit. The pressure converter, together with an intercooler and a compression ratio regulator, prevents knocking.

Manufacturers use two technologies for manufacturing VEMO brand Pressure converter, turbocharger, dividing them into micromechanical and thick-film ones. The most modern and sophisticated pressure converters are of the first type; they are also used in most vehicles. They are based on a chip that uses silicon and a diaphragm with four transistors.
