The exhaust system of every modern car consists of a catalyst, a manifold, a resonator, pipes, and a muffler. The catalyst and pipes are bonded to the latter. They are held in place thanks to special rings and combs. The catalyst, pipes and muffler form the system against exhaust gas leakage. These parts are located at the very bottom of the car.
