The principle of the tensioner pulley work

It is necessary not only to control the degree of belt tension, but also to periodically check the performance of this element. This approach will extend the performance of the entire system.

In the event that the belt is too loose, it will begin to slip, which will cause noise, a sharp rise in temperature and premature wear. Any of these causes can result in poor performance of belt-driven accessories. If the belt tension is too high, severe wear of the belt-driven accessories can be expected.
