All suspension elements are in contact with the car body through bushings. During operation, knocking and squeaking often occurs. This is due to damage to the stabilizer struts, leaf springs, linkage, and bushings. When replacing such parts, the seats must be cleaned of dirt, rust, remnants of old bushings without fail. Next, the worn out fasteners are replaced. New bushings must be lubricated before installation. This will extend their lifespan.
