The ignition switch is a device that is part of the on-board electrical system of the car. The mechanism is built into the ignition lock and connects the contacts of the electrical wires, closing them in the required sequence, provides a rational distribution of the current supply, starting or stopping the engine.

The functionality of the ignition switch

The ignition concept contains dozens of elements, but the most important is the contact block of the ignition switch. In simple terms, this is a system that allows you to close electrical contacts, which, by laying electric current from the battery to the starter and further, start the engine, and by opening them, they stop. The position of the contacts is adjusted with the ignition key, which allows you to select the desired combination option: start / stop the engine, turn on electrical devices or all electronic systems of the car.

The JP GROUP brand Ignition-/Starter Switch up looks unusually simple: a set of parallel 15 cm wires connecting the plug on one side and the contact lock on the other. The driver will be able to establish a breakdown of the ignition lock immediately after its appearance.
