The usage of the v-ribbed belt vibration damper

The belt tensioner shock absorber (damper) is a functional element included in the drive system of the internal combustion engine attachments. It provides the correct degree of belt tension.

In most cases, GATES brand Vibration Damper, v-ribbed belt become unusable due to:

1. natural wear and tear of the part;
2. breakdowns of adjacent structures;
3. overheating at idle (the problem arises precisely at such speeds, since when driving at high speed the pressure of the air flow through the radiator is much more powerful, because of which the damper has time to cool);
4. increased engine vibration, etc.

If a malfunction is found, the broken shock absorber should be replaced with a new one
