The conditions of repair kit usage

The pump seal is in a steel case with a steel spring, therefore, when installing the gland, lubricate its body with a thin layer of silicone sealant to fill in possible scratches and irregularities in the seat and protect the seal housing from corrosion. The end of the sealing element is lubricated with graphite grease to increase the contact area of ​​the sliding washer before it rubs against the working surface of the stuffing box.
