The stability of the transmission largely depends on the amount of oil in the gearbox. To prevent leakage of lubricant, an oil seal is used. This part is installed in a special cage located on the drive shaft.

Because of long-term operation, any oil seal (even if it is made of very high quality rubber) begins to deteriorate. As a result, the amount of oil in the box begins to gradually decrease, and if it is not topped up, then the moving elements of the gearbox begin to fail.
