The main element of gasoline and diesel engines is the injector nozzle. Currently, there are several types of nozzles. They find their application in various powertrain designs. So in injection and diesel engines, injector nozzles are simply irreplaceable. These are special devices responsible for spraying fuel directly into the internal combustion engine. The nozzles create a special fuel flame. Liquid fuel in it breaks up into small droplets, after which it mixes with air.

The functionality of the nozzles

The BOSCH brand Injector Nozzle of gasoline engines work at low pressure, in diesel ones - at a significant one. Such elements of power units are divided into piezoelectric, electrohydraulic, electromagnetic and mechanical. Each type has its own characteristics, as well as areas of application. Mechanical nozzles are considered a classic option. They have been used for decades. Fuel enters directly into the annular chamber, raises the needle, and opens the nozzle. The design is simple and reliable. However, it does not fulfill the characteristics required for diesel power units.
