The oil filter is one of the most important parts in the oil circuit of an internal combustion engine. If the moving parts of an engine are not lubricated regularly and, above all, evenly, this leads to significantly increased wear. This can even go so far that the entire engine is damaged. Replacing an oil filter is therefore a measure that must be taken at regular intervals. The exchange is based usually on a number of kilometers specified by the manufacturer. If this is exceeded, this can mean that the filter, which is located in its robust housing, can no longer perform at its full capacity.

When the circulating oil lubricates the moving parts of an engine, a small part of the oil itself is always burned. Over time, the burnt particles accumulate in the vehicle oil, thereby reducing the quality considerably. A good lubrication performance is therefore no longer guaranteed and parts can quickly overheat and be seriously damaged. The oil filter housing is not only used to store and secure the filter, but must also be able to withstand the pressure generated by the pump.
