Cone-shaped discs are installed at a slight inclination. They are driven by a hydraulic pressure system, springs and centrifugal force. These disks move closer and further away, changing the diameter of the pulley. Thus, the belt moves along the pulley. Manufacturers offer a metal flexible belt model. It is silent and has a large working resource.
