In modern cars, cooling systems are used that allow not only to cool the moving parts of the box, but also to lubricate them. The automatic transmission cooling system consists of:

The principle of operation is also similar, that is, the automatic transmission oil is pumped through the radiator for cooling.

1. top and bottom tanks (made of brass to ensure good thermal conductivity);
2. core (thin transverse plates and flat vertical tubes soldered to these plates);
3. fastening parts.

Another thing to note is the heat exchanger, which acts as part of the main cooling radiator. Under the condition of operation in a climate of the middle zone, a heat exchanger is used to maintain a constant temperature in the hydraulic medium of the automatic transmission (an additional circuit in the radiator of the cooling system). Most often, the heat exchanger is built into the box radiator.
