The SAMPA brand Wheel Bearing is responsible for smooth and even rotation of the wheel without slowing down and deviations in the vertical plane. During movement, this part experiences very heavy load, therefore, to ensure maximum reliability, it is made of high-strength materials.

If the hub itself provides rotation of the wheel, then the bearing fixes the entire structure on the suspension.

The construction of the wheel bearing

By design, bearings are divided into single-row and double-row, angular contact ball and tapered roller bearings. The larger the bearing surface, the less the load on its elements and the longer the service life, therefore many manufacturers prefer tapered bearings, which are installed either in pairs (to compensate for multidirectional loads), or are immediately made double-row.

On the end surface, the bearing has a protective ring that reliably protects against leakage of grease and ingress of water and dirt. Damage to the ring means replacing the bearing itself: they are all made non-separable and not repairable.
