The oil sump gasket is an elastic part designed to eliminate possible gaps between the oil sump and the gearbox. The use of a gasket allows, due to a tight fit, to prevent the ingress of lubricating liquids and impurities contained in them on the mechanisms and units of the vehicle.

The usage of the oil sump gasket

The oil sump gasket is located in the vehicle in the gap between the gearbox and the oil sump. This part prevents oil and suspensions that it contains from getting into key parts of the car, thereby preventing the occurrence of unpleasant malfunctions. Quite often, motorists neglect the use of gaskets in favor of a sealant, which is far from the best solution.

The BGA brand Gasket, oil sump is made of a special shrinkage material, the properties of which prevent oil leakage. However, like any other auto part, this spare part is inevitably subject to wear and tear during operation.
