The first and foremost task of the heating system is to keep the driver and passengers in the car from freezing at ambient temperatures that cause discomfort.

The usage of the heater hose

With the tap (damper) closed, the coolant makes its usual path: from the pump through the radiator and thermostat to the engine and back. As soon as the driver and / or passengers find it uncomfortable to ride in a cabin covered with frost, the driver will open the tap (damper) and the coolant heated to normal operating temperature (which is 85-90 ° C) will flow in an enlarged circle to the heater heat exchanger in order to give some of its warmth to the temporary occupants of the salon.
