The crankshaft bearing often consists of a metal alloy, of 2 or 3 metals, multi-layer (2-5-layer), over 2.5 mm thick (modern models are thinner, older ones are thicker). The bearing has a cylindrical body, a groove for lubrication, a hole for lubrication, and a bearing lock. The main bearing of the main crankshaft is usually steel. The usage of the crankshaft bearing set

A correctly selected MAHLE ORIGINAL brand Crankshaft Bearing Set has a long service life, which depends mainly on the oil: its viscosity and pressure. Oil is fed through a groove to the connecting rod bearings through the crankshaft, providing hydraulic rotation inside the bushing.

If a part is out of service, then a distinct knocking appears under the hood, and the engine strives to stall.
