The exhaust manifold is an element of the attached equipment of the internal combustion engine (internal combustion engine). The main task of the collector is to collect the gases exhausted in several combustion chambers into one common channel. An additional function is the effective ventilation of the combustion chambers. All non-in-line engines - boxer, V-shaped, W-shaped and U-shaped - have one exhaust manifold for each bank of cylinders.
The design of an exhaust system manifold
The METZGER brand Manifold, exhaust system consists of several intake pipes coming from the combustion chambers and combined into one pipe adjacent to the catalyst. This part is made of cast iron or (less commonly) stainless steel. For some expensive sports cars, you can pick up a ceramic exhaust manifold part. After the engine is stopped, especially in the cold season, condensate settles on the inner walls of the exhaust manifold. This is fraught with corrosion of the cast-iron manifold, this does not happen with a stainless steel manifold. The ceramic manifold is light and heat resistant, but much less durable.
