A special electromechanical device is used to transfer current from the coil to the spark plugs. It received the name distributor. The distributor does not tolerate water well. This is important to consider. To protect against moisture, the shaft is made extremely long. Then the distributor housing is as far away from the road as possible. A high-voltage wire is connected to the metal base. Spring-loaded brushes that transmit current realize contact with the rotor of the device. They constantly touch the base of the slider, but the rotation is not difficult.
