Passenger car transmissions have a mechanical part that engages and disengages the clutch. It is called a clutch release bearing. Currently, there are two types of such a mechanical part: hydraulic and roller. The latter uses a rigid connection, but the former uses the force of the hydraulic clutch system. Regardless of the model and make of the car, the clutch always works the same. It provides a smooth connection between the engine and transmission, eliminating the rapid wear of other elements of the vehicle.

The release bearing is the link between the clutch and the drive. It is on this bearing that the fork with the lever is attached. At the end of the latter, a cable or lever is attached, which leads to the clutch pedal. The transmission of torque is carried out by pressing the pedal.
