A pressure converter in a turbocharger of a car is a little-known element for many; however, its functioning affects the performance of both the turbine and the engine itself as a whole.

The device provides control and monitoring of the exhaust gas recirculation valve. This process is organized as follows: there is a comparison of atmospheric pressure and vacuum in the system. The pressure converter is part of the turbocharger and boost pressure control sensors in the system.

The functions of the exhaust control pressure converter

The AIC brand Pressure Converter, exhaust control is a device with a valve, inlet and outlet pipes, and a control microcircuit. Some devices are equipped with a solenoid. A plastic part is made, fixed in close proximity to the turbocharger.

The harbingers of a malfunction of this control may be the following:

1. power drop,
2. twitching during the move,
3. activation of emergency mode,
4. the appearance of the corresponding errors on the dashboard.

The main reasons for the failure of the pressure transducer are:

1. the presence of water in the system;
2. pollution;
3. wear of microcircuit elements;
4. sensor of a dubious manufacturer.
