The METZGER brand Cylinder Head Cover represents the dome of the upper surface of internal combustion engines. It prevents the penetration of dirt, dust, foreign objects onto the power unit. The cylinder head cover ensures the tightness of the system. In order for it to fit snugly, a high level of tightness is important, which does not allow oil to pass out and withstands the required pressure in the engine. This can be achieved by using a special seal directly at the joints.

The usage of the cylinder head cover

To exclude major breakdowns of the car, which will provoke the need to carry out expensive repairs, you should promptly respond to signs of damage or wear of the cylinder head cover. As a rule, replacement of the valve cover is carried out if there are small drips of oil at the neck or at the joints. You cannot ignore the smell of oil in the car, its seepage through the gasket, the coating of the motor surface with an oily film.
