For fastening the wheels, two types of fasteners are used, each of which has a different shape and length. First, we are talking about wheel nuts and wheel bolts. They can have a conical or spherical clamping part. The shape of such parts is selected according to the profile of the holes directly in the wheel rim. As a rule, it is presented in the form of spherical or conical recesses. When tightening the wheel mounts, a certain pair is centered - a sphere-sphere or a cone-cone. Shape matching is important because the joints ensure a snug fit as well as correct wheel alignment.

The usage of the wheel bolts
