The ERA brand Brake Light Switch is a device included in the light alarm system. The sensor is responsible for timely deactivation and activation of signals, warning other drivers about the readiness for the performed maneuver and change of the speed limit. The switch device makes driving easier and safer.

Each car of domestic or foreign production with an internal combustion engine is equipped with a special device called a brake light sensor. This is a small part in overall dimensions, on which, at the same time, the safety of not only the car owner, but also all other road users, directly depends. If the brake light sensor is faulty, then the likelihood of an accident increases significantly.

The functionality of the brake light switch

When you press the brake pedal, the red signal in the car is triggered, which warns other drivers about the timely stop and other necessary transport maneuvers. The lighting is usually located behind the car on the body, spoiler or rear window.

A brake light is installed in the car under the brake pedal. Visually, it is a part made of a plastic case, into which two contact connection leads, a diaphragm, contact washers and two clamping nuts for contacts are mounted.
