The design of the modern suspension arm is represented mainly by an elongated cast piece that is made of light alloy. It has stiffening ribs that are in the longitudinal direction. There are tides at both ends. One of the ends is provided with a cylindrical boss. A silent block is pressed into it. This part serves as a gasket when the arm is attached to the body, subframe, and frame. An annular bead is provided at the second end. It is intended for the subsequent fastening of the ball joint.
