To remove moisture in a timely manner, a special filter drier, or receiver, is installed in the high-pressure lines. Its main function is to absorb water accidentally entering the system. The receiver is extremely important to ensure trouble-free operation of the car air conditioner. It protects the system from negative phenomena associated with the ingress of water from the outside air: from the formation of ice plugs in the tubes, impairment of the tubes' patency and a decrease in the oil supply to the compressor.
