The functionality of the accelerator pedal position sensor

At a time when fuel economy was not relevant, no one thought about ecology, and the dynamic characteristics of cars were improved by increasing the engine volume, a cable went from the pedal to the engine that controlled the position of the throttle valves and the fuel supply.
