The material of the exhaust pipe seal ring

The FA1 brand Seal Ring, exhaust pipe is a simple spare part in its design. It is a round piece, most often conical. The standard material is steel alloy, but lately manufacturers have switched to composite materials.

Types of rings made of various materials:

1. steel rings - a spacer that is used to connect and seal pipe joints with a clamp;
2. metal asbestos rings - allow you to more reliably fix the components of the exhaust system parts, the composition is based on heat-resistant soundproofing material and perforated tape;
3. metal-graphite rings - conical products for sealing the connection of the exhaust manifold with the exhaust pipe of the muffler. Thanks to the use of composite materials in the manufacture, the part becomes stronger and more durable.
