SENSOR INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE FOR RENAULT KANGOO/Express/Rapid TWINGO CLIO/II EPS 1.994.012

Typically, the intake air temperature sensor is installed in the intake manifold housing. Its task is obvious - to register the temperature of the intake air. The data received by the EPS brand Sender Unit, intake air temperature is processed by the fuel system ECU. Such control is necessary to maintain the required ratio of the components of the fuel-air mixture for stable engine operation. The volume of air directly depends on its temperature. By means of a temperature sensor, the ECU receives the necessary primary data on the amount of incoming air and calculates the amount of fuel required for injection.

The conditions of the sender unit operation

Failure of the intake air temperature sensor makes it impossible for the fuel system ECU to adequately respond to changes in environmental parameters. In some cases, the failure of the intake air temperature sensor does not lead to an immediate stop of the car, but the operation of the vehicle is extremely difficult and undesirable.
