The design of the receiver-drier is quite simple, but effective. It is a tube filled with an adsorbent - granules of synthetic zeolite, which has the ability to actively absorb water. The receiver is extremely important to ensure trouble-free operation of the car air conditioner. It protects the system from negative phenomena associated with the ingress of water from the outside air: from the formation of ice plugs in the tubes, impairment of the tubes' patency and a decrease in the oil supply to the compressor.
