The functionality of the mudguard

The body elements of any car are constantly exposed to negative influences - mechanical, thermal, chemical and others, which leads to wear, deformation and corrosion. In the most unfavorable conditions, the parts that form the wheel arches work - while the car is moving, they are constantly subjected to an abrasive-sandblasting effect due to stones, dirt and sand flying out from under the wheels, as well as intense corrosion due to water scattered on the roads in winter reagents, etc. All this leads to the fact that it is in the wheel arches (as well as in the sills) that the first foci of corrosion appear, these elements gradually lose strength and deform. To prevent all negative consequences, special protection is applied to the body elements that form the wheel arches - mudguards.
