The odometer sensor is one of the many automotive sensors responsible for generating measuring information signals, its transmission, further conversion and processing by the electronic control unit and some other devices. If the car does not have an ECU, the need for sensors does not decrease. The output of even the least important of the sensors affects at least how comfortable the car will operate.
