The DT SPARE PARTS brand Gasket, timing case is a camshaft housing seal element that covers the timing unit, chain and crankshaft oil seal. Prevents the effects of external weather factors, moisture and dust on internal elements.
They are made of paronite, cardboard, rubber or cork material (the latter is practically not used in modern cars). Shaped with the edges of the engine front cover to provide a good seal on the assembly.
Features of timing case gaskets
Replacement is carried out during scheduled repairs, maintenance of the distribution gear assembly, installation of a new timing chain or crankshaft oil seal.
