To create a tight fit of the nozzle, special O-rings are used. They are made of rubber. But over time, this material loses its original properties. This is due to natural aging. As a result, air leaks or fuel leaks occur. The effects of wear on the corresponding seals can only be eliminated by replacing them. Therefore, it is recommended to periodically change the ELRING brand Seal Ring, nozzle holder. Loss of their tightness must not be allowed. A competent approach will ensure the normal operation of both the fuel system and the car as a whole.

The usage of the seal ring

Today, O-rings are found on both gasoline and diesel injectors. They help to eliminate air leakage, as well as fuel leakage directly in the places where the injector is connected to the fuel line. Currently, seals are most often made of rubber, which is due to:

1. lack of large mechanical loads;
2. low temperature effect (there is a certain distance to the hot engine);
3. high elasticity of the material;
4. slow loss of pristine properties under the influence of an aggressive environment.
