Good quality! Super fast delivery. Thank you a lot :)

Exhaust gas temperature sensors in gasoline engines primarily provide component protection, but in diesel engines, they are also critical for the proper functioning of the particulate filter.

Defective exhaust gas temperature sensors can be identified by visual inspection, reading measured values and error codes, or analyzing circuit diagrams.

The usage of the exhaust sensor

Exhaust gas temperature sensors have become indispensable in modern cars and perform a variety of tasks. They are used in both gasoline and diesel engines at multiple points in the BOSCH brand Sensor, exhaust pressure to measure the temperature of the exhaust gases and then send it as an electrical voltage signal to the engine control unit (ECU). For this, an electrical resistor is built into the measuring tip of the exhaust gas temperature sensor, the value of which changes depending on the temperature. These resistors are called thermistors. There are two groups: Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) sensors decrease resistance as temperature rises, PTC sensors increase resistance as temperature rises.
