In many cars, the engine and all the main elements of the fuel system are located in the front end and are protected from various damage and precipitation by the bonnet. In turn, the bonnet is equipped with a special lock, which serves as a safeguard against self-opening of the bonnet lid while driving and against the penetration of strangers into the engine compartment. Such a lock is opened inside the passenger compartment using a traction lever connected to the lock with a metal cable.

The cable is located under the bonnet of the car, while its control unit is located in the passenger compartment. This spare part is made mainly of steel, which makes it reliable and durable. The part also serves as a connecting element between the lock and the car's cabin.
