The brake cables are the part of the vehicle's parking brake system that activates the brakes on the rear wheels.

Wheeled vehicles equipped with a hydraulically actuated braking system use a mechanical parking brake with direct brake pads from a cabin mounted lever. The pads drive is based on flexible elements - cables, which serve as rods.

The construction of the cable

The sheath protects the cable from external influences that are aggressive for steel - water, salt. The shell on the brackets is attached to the body.
