The operation of steering arm

The device of this structural element is quite simple. The bipod is a one-piece cast steel part with several heads - upper and lower. Each has its own hole. The shape of the bipod is curvilinear. It provides details the maximum durability at the minimum sizes. In addition, such a structural element ensures the correct distribution of forces.

The steering arm is subjected to significant loads. They arise during the operation of vehicles. Therefore, over time, certain deformations occur in the bipod. In the upper head, the slots wear out, in the lower head; a ball pin breaks the hole. This leads to the formation of gaps. The quality of the entire steering mechanism is deteriorating.
